In October, the new Living Free website (www.LivingFree.org) was launched. At this point, the site is only about 20% complete, but we are already seeing a positive response. Recognizing our need to reach three distinct groups of people, we designed the site to be three sites in one:
- "What is Living Free?" Provides answers and direction to ministry leaders looking for ways to more effectively disciple people within their congregation and reach out to their communities. They can learn about what Living Free is and how it can help their ministry.
- "Using Living Free" For ministries already using Living Free. It provides how-to's, helpful resources, and blogs where Living Free team members from around the world can share ideas and encourage one another.
- "I'm Hurting" For anyone wanting help for themselves or guidance in helping someone they care about.
The new site is also the launch pad for our new Internet Accessibility Ministry. For more than 20 years, this ministry has grown in depth and outreach. We currently have a presence in some 47 countries and training and/or curriculum in at least 17 languages. We have watched God transform countless lives. Even with this growth, we had a growing concern regarding ministries unable to use Living Free due to lack of finances, logistical issues, customs and other barriers beyond our control. Although we have donated our materials to many throughout the years, people were still being left out.
After much prayer and research, we decided to implement a policy that would make Living Free material promptly accessible to anyone, anywhere, ensuring that no person is left behind in their efforts to receive the curriculum. On the new site we will
