In Their Own Words
Read what one participant said this week about her experience in a Living Free Community small group inside of a county jail.
"I am so thankful to this class because it has given me such hope and inspiration that I can carry on with my family when I get out, because I have destroyed my life in the past because of the drugs and Satan that closed my eyes to the good things that could have happened in my life. Thank you for the time and consideration you have put forth to the class that I have attended."We give God all the glory!
Testimonies from Outcomes Research
During the last couple of years, we have been doing outcomes research with several churches and ministries. Recently, we received a new batch of completed surveys from a church in Missouri.
Here are a few comments from the question, "What specific changes have you made in your life as a result of Living Free grous?"
"More committed to prayer and Bible study."
"Identifying incorrect thought processes and wounded emotions, like shame, fear and guilt."
"Sharing stuff I usually wouldn't share. Dealing with my problems rather than covering them up with drugs."
All the glory to God!

Good News from Iowa
Just in the last year Jeff Arp, Director of Teen Challenge of the Midlands Urban Center in Des Moine, Iowa, has been developing a non-residential component to their residential ministry. The residential program has been using the Living Free material in weekly support groups for people on probation. This Living Free community-based effort, called Lifeline Connection, has led to discipling people in the Word of God who would not or could not go into a long-term program. The following is a testimony from Jeff:
"This past week we had a milestone. Through our relationships, another couple started coming to Lifeline Connection and meeting with me for personal mentoring. My intention was to use the Life-Plan to help him overcome some life-controlling problems but we didn’t get very far into that process until we had a powerful Lifeline Connection meeting a couple of weeks ago and God began to reveal some things and God also used the other members of the group to share some things. As a result of that meeting, we had a man check into the Teen Challenge program at Colfax this week. I don’t believe that would have probably happened if it weren’t for the relationships that developed through Lifeline Connection."
