Thoughts for Today
God is our primary source of help and advice as we guide our teens through their adolescent years. It is always better to trust His advice rather than the advice of people.
There is a vast supply of parenting material and advice available. Friends are frequently quite ready to give their own advice. Some is godly and some is not. Consider this ...
Take comfort in knowing that you are not alone. God loves you. He loves your children. And He has promised to love all of you unconditionally--and to guide you through the challenges of life.
Pray for your child continually. Pray with your child. Ask God for wisdom and guidance. "He will direct and make straight and plain your paths."

Godly Parenting: Parenting Skills at Each Stage of Growth by N. Elizabeth Holland, M.D. This study addresses parenting skills from the time of conception until the child has reached adulthood. It suggests methods for raising healthy, godly children in an increasingly secular society. Specific emphasis is placed on communication and teaching skills, discipline, protection and sexual issues at each age. Note: This curriculum was written especially for small groups, and we encourage people to use it that way. However, it can also be used effectively as a personal study for individuals or couples.
