Security That Lasts: His Never Failing Love

Living Free Every Day®

Today's Scripture
"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 NLT

Thoughts for Today
This week we are focusing on the truth that real security comes from God.

We are secure because God promised that he will never stop loving us, and nothing could ever happen to make him change his mind. His Word assures us that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from his love.

We can be secure in God's promise to work all things together for our good … and in kowing that suffering tremendous hardship is not a sign of his lack of love for us. His love will see us through. And we can be secure in knowing that after a relatively miniscule time on this earth, we will spend forever in a perfect heaven with Jesus.

Consider this …
Are you experiencing a difficult time right now? Don't let the enemy convince you that it's because God doesn't love you. Jesus went through extremely difficult times here on earth … because he loves us so much. He even chose to suffer and die on the cross for our sins because of his great love for us. He said we would have problems on this earth, but he also promised that with his help we can overcome those problems.

Take comfort in knowing that no matter how difficult things may seem right now, you are evnveloped in the love of Jesus and he will give you the strength you need. Nothing can ever separate you from his love.

Prayer
Jesus, thank you for your love. Thank you for giving your life on the cross for me. Help me be reminded that even though things are difficult right now, you are with me, you are loving me and that you will work all things together for good. In Jesus' name …

Completely Free! A Group Study of Romans 1-8 by Dan Strickland. Everyone struggles from time-to-time, but we can have confidence that in Christ we are completely free from sin's slavery, from condemnation, and from fear of failure. This group study of Romans 1-8 and 12 helps Christians break out of the dull routine of a stagnant spiritual life. Applying the truths found in Romans can transform any believer into a person eager to follow God's will. This study can also serve as a powerful evangelistic tool by explaining the message of salvation as presented in Romans. Suggested uses include home Bible studies, cell groups, Sunday school classes, support groups and personal enrichment.

  • 2013 Living Free Outcomes Results

We are excited to announce the 2013 Living Free Outcomes Research Findings. Over the last three years, we have collected questionnaires from participants in several different ministries in many different states. This year we gathered the questionnaires from 5 different ministries who are reaching out to their communities through non-residential support group settings in 5 states. There were 181 people in 22 different groups represented.

The data confirms the effectiveness of Living Free because of what God is doing through His Word, His Spirit and His people. The data reflects that no matter the location or facilitator, lives are being transformed and families restored by God through many local Living Free and Living Free Community ministries. We give God all the glory!

  • Testimony from Rwanda

God does heal the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Read the following testimony we received today regarding today's Living Free Every Day devotion provided by Living Free ministries.

"Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Thank you so much for the message of forgiveness. Jesus Christ recommend us to forgive if we want to be forgiven. For us Rwandans, we are experiencing forgiveness and now we are free from the bondage of unforgiveness. When you forgive, even physically, you are released. I am telling you this because I have forgiven those who killed my parents and relatives. But, ask to be led by the Holy Spirit who will enable you to forgive those who sin against you."

    Blessings,
