Sometimes, fear can seem unescapable. Like a boa constrictor, it strikes and then coils itself around us, suffocating the very life out of our being. So many things can trigger crippling fear, such as:

  • Bills piling up with no way to pay them…
  • House headed for foreclosure and you have no place to go…
  • Your child strung out on drugs…
  • Hearing the dreaded news, “You have cancer”…
  • Receiving the phone call at 2:00am, “Your son was in a car accident”…

How do we escape the bondage of fear and walk in faith? Finish reading the article at livingfreecommunity.org

“Dysfunctional families are a tragic and growing part of our society. This specific type of family is the one in which the authority line between the parents and children is blurry. In this family, it is hard to detect who is in charge. Teenagers make decisions in regard to their well-being that should be made by their parents.”

“… Leaders were discouraged early in their ministry because newcomers would attend meetings and afterward exchange drugs in the parking lot. But, after a few meetings, they saw sincere changes in many participants as they encountered God’s truth and love in the groups which led them into the nurturing fellowship of local congregations.”

Living Free is a ministry that is designed to help those inside the church as well as those outside. The following testimony is from a person who desperately needed help. But you would never have known it, even if he had sat next to you in church every Sunday. Read this brief testimony from a Living Free participant:
“August 4, 2009 – This was the beginning of walking in the freedom that I received when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior.  It was not the date I was saved, but it was the date I first walked into a program that God has used to totally and radically change my life for the good. The program is called Living Free and I am so thankful to God that I found this program and that He did use it to change me. I was one mixed-up, messed-up person who on the outside seemed pretty normal but on the inside was in critical condition!  The people closest to me, my wife and children, knew that I was a mess but they actually did not know how much of a mess I was, and to those who only knew me on the surface I was like a lot of people that you find today in schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, shopping at the mall, shopping at Wal-Mart and yes even attending church with you and possibly even sitting next to you in church.  Or maybe even I was just like you!  In other words I looked and acted pretty normal. But I needed help — and Living Free offered it to me.”

Living Free has ministry tools available to help unite and strengthen marriages and families.
A couple that recently completed the Insight Group shared how God is strengthening their marriage:
“God as tuned our hearts to overhear one another’s prayers with love, and the Lord has healed some deeply personal sin in each of us, allowing us to minister God’s mercy to one another. Now we are actively seeking to agree—not just with each other, but first and foremost to agree with Jesus Christ about every aspect of our lives.
Living Free has ushered in a new season of growth, joy, and renewed commitment in our marriage and our family like nothing else ever has. We each have had personal breakthroughs as well.”
